Yash Chopra's wife Pamela Chopra passed away this morning at Lilavati Hospital in Mumbai. She was 74 years old and was admitted to the hospital for the past fifteen days. The statement stated, "With heavy hearts, the Chopra family would like to inform you that Pamela Chopra, 74, passed away this morning. Her cremation took place at 11 am today in Mumbai. We are grateful for your prayers and the family would like to request privacy in this moment of deep sadness and reflection."Pamela Chopra
Pamela frequently worked on Yash's films in various ways. According to the documentary The Romantics, which was her final appearance on camera, Pamela was an important element of Yash's films. She wrote the script for the classic film Kabhi Kabhie and styled the cast of Silsila in 1981. In addition to this, she was a significant contributor to his films' musical scores.

In the popular Dilwale Dulhania Le Jayenge song Ghar Aaja Pardesi, Pamela has been included as a co-singer alongside Manpreet Kaur. Additionally, she performed numerous songs from films such as Kabhie Kabhie, Silsila, Chandni and more.
