Dolores O’Riordan was an Irish singer, songwriter, and instrumentalist. She was the lead vocalist for the Irish Rock band The Cranberries. O’Riordan began her music career with Cranberry Saw Us (now The Cranberries) in the early 1990s. She replaced singer Niall Quinn as the band’s lead singer. Their debut studio album, Everybody Else Is Doing It, So Why Can’t We?, was released in March 1993 by Island Records. It peaked at #1 in Ireland and the United Kingdom. The Cranberries went on a 6-years hiatus from 2003 to 2009. After regrouping, The Cranberries released the albums; Roses (2012) and Something Else (2017). Their accolades over the years include a Juno Award for best-selling album, and an MTV Europe Music Award for best song.
O’Riordan’s debut solo album, Are You Listening?, was released in May 2007. It was led by the single “Ordinary Day”. The album charted at #15 in Ireland and has sold more than 300,000 copies worldwide. Her sophomore album, No Baggage, arrived in August 2009.
