Sean Albro Tuohy, an American sports pundit, and restaurateur, was born on November 23, 1959.
In the 1980s, he participated in college basketball at the University of Mississippi.
The Blind Side: Evolution of a Game, written by Michael Lewis in 2006, and its 2009 feature film adaption, The Blind Side, starring Tim McGraw as Tuohy, are about Tuohy, his wife Leigh Anne, and their family. The National Football League (NFL) player Michael Oher, who played in the NFL from 2009 to 2016, was raised by the Tuohys, who are the subject of the book and accompanying movie.
Prior to selling the majority in six different transactions, Tuohy and his wife controlled 115 fast food franchises, including those of Taco Bell, Kentucky Fried Chicken, Pizza Hut, and Long John Silver’s. Currently, they only possess 11.
Since 2001, Tuohy has also served as a broadcaster for the NBA’s Memphis Grizzlies. He has worked as a radio broadcast commentator for Westwood One and CBS Radio as well as for radio broadcasts at Ole Miss for seven years.
