ORIGIN
The Game is an American rapper, music producer and actor. He was born Jayceon Terrell Taylor on November 29, 1979 in Los Angeles, California. His parents are Lynette and George Taylor. He had four siblings, George, Jevon, Sherani and Tiasha. The Game spent his early childhood in the city of Compton. He spent 8 years in foster care before moving back in with his mother at age 15. The Game attended Compton High School followed by Washington State University. He was expelled from the University because of drug possession.

CAREER
In 2002, The Game released his debut mixtape, You Know What It Is Vol. 1. The tracks created quite a buzz which landed him a contract with Dr. Dre‘s Aftermath Entertainment in 2003. Record producer Sean Combs was also impressed by the young talent. The Game performed as a member of G-Unit from 2003 to 2006. Other members at the time included 50 Cent, Lloyd Banks and Young Buck. The Game quickly made a name for himself in the West Coast hip hop scene. He founded The Black Wall Street Records in 2002 under Universal Music Group.

The Game’s debut studio album, The Documentary, was released in January 2005 by Aftermath and Interscope. It was certified 2x platinum in the US and sold over 5 million copies worldwide. It featured the singles “Westside Story”, “Dreams” and “Hate It or Love It”. His sophomore album, Doctor’s Advocate, dropped in 2006 atop the Billboard 200. The album was released by Geffen Records. It featured guest artists like Snoop Dogg, Kanye West and Busta Rhymes. The Game followed up with LAX (2008), and The R.E.D. Album (2011). His more recent works include The Documentary 2.5 (2015) and 1992 (2016).

Aside from music, The Game has held prominent roles in a handful of films and television shows. He co-starred as “Big Meat” in the 2006 action-drama, Waist Deep. The film also stars Tyrese Gibson and Meagan Good. The Game followed up with the lead role as “G” in Belly 2: Millionaire Boyz Club (2006). Other notable films include Tournament of Dreams (2007) with Tony Todd, Street Kings (2008) with Keanu Reeves, and House Arrest (2012) with Stacey Dash. He starred in the VH1 reality series, Marrying the Game. The show ran from 2012 to 2014 for a total of 22 episodes.

The Game is 6ft 4in tall and has a net worth of $25 million. He has three children, King Justice, Harlem Caron and California Dream Taylor. The Game was engaged to Valeisha Butterfield and later Tiffney Cambridge. He’s also dated India Westbrooks and Briona Mae.
